Internet of Things (IoT): Will be Technology of the Future Devices?

Many companies are now emphasizing on the blockchain, machine learning, big data and internet of things(IoT) so everyone thinking and concerned that all these technologies will sustain and bring positive impact on the society or not? Today we will discuss the Internet of Things and related area’s that how it will sustain and give a positive impact on the society and environment. Internet of things can be considered as the technology of this era and it can be called Industry era 4.0.

In early 1800’s Industry 1.0 era we had mechanical power which facilities with help of water, gravitational energy, and steam power, later in last of the 18th century and early 1900’s electrical energy brought the revolution in production, infrastructure and other area’s which was called Industry era 2.0. After mid of 19th-century information technology brought a revolution with help of computer and electronics technology. In industry 3.0 cost of electronics devices decreased rapidly and it directly brought down the cost of automation of product line, daily uses electronic devices, energy and infrastructure devices. In this era, automation had a big success because of electronics devices and information technology.

Slowly we had dropped in the cost of communication infrastructure and cloud storage due to drop in the cost of the embedded devices. So indirectly the cost of wireless communication is getting dropped with a high rate and information technology is getting embedded with passive devices (not able to communicate with their own ex. Home, Cars) and getting them converted into active elements of the network which works on received data and generate data for analysis and control, future predictions, services etc. We have no doubt that in incoming days most of the devices will be connected to the internet by any mean which will increase the quality of human life in terms of ease of access, comfort, and control. With all these, we have the concern about privacy and security of data but currently, many companies are giving the focus of edge technologies which provide secure, smooth and reliable control of all the devices.
